The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi, is facing calls to consider distributing his assets following allegations that former Deputy Finance Minister, John Kumah, died from food poisoning.

Autopsy reports revealed that John Kumah, the former lawmaker for Ejisu in the Ashanti Region, actually passed away from Multiple Myeloma, a type of cancer affecting white blood cells called plasma cells. Health professionals have explained that plasma cells are vital for producing antibodies that help fight infections by identifying and attacking pathogens.

Controversial Kumawood Actor, Dada Santo, popularly known as Oboy Siki, has expressed concerns that Chairman Wontumi may suffer a similar fate if the claims of John Kumah’s death by food poisoning are proven true.

It was reported by Oheneba Nana Asiedu, the Special Aide to Chairman Wontumi, that there was an alleged incident of food poisoning in Tamale during Vice President Dr. Bawumia’s campaign tour involving John Kumah and Chairman Wontumi.

In an interview with AMBASSADOR TV, Oboy Siki emphasized that if Chairman Wontumi supports his aide’s claims, he should start thinking about preparing his will and distributing his belongings. He warned that if food poisoning was the cause of John Kumah’s death, nothing could save Chairman Wontumi, as food poisoning is a serious matter not to be taken lightly.

Oboy Siki also called on the Ghana Police Service to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter, highlighting the importance of caution among politicians, celebrities, and others when consuming food from unknown sources or individuals close to them.
