Ghanaian music sensation Wendy Shay, born Wendy Asiamah Addo, has expressed her sorrow over the passing of legendary Highlife musician K K Kabobo.
The iconic musician, who was reportedly battling liver disease, tragically passed away at the University of Ghana Medical Facility despite receiving treatment and donations.
Among those who visited him during his time at the medical facility were former President John Dramani Mahama and Wendy Shay, who generously donated Gh¢10,000 towards his care.
Following the news of his death, Wendy Shay took to social media to share her condolences with K. K Kabobo’s family. She recounted her hopeful anticipation for his recovery after visiting him, only to wake up to the heartbreaking news of his passing.
In a post on social media, Wendy Shay wrote, “The demise of legendary Highlife musician KK Kabobo breaks my heart. After visiting him, I was so expectant of his recovery but I woke up today to this heartbreaking news. My condolences to his family. I pray he finds eternal rest.”
