Ghanaian gospel musician ACP Kofi Sarpong is urging his fellow citizens to prioritize peace and avoid actions that could incite violence.
In a recent interview on Daybreak Hitz with Andy Dosty, Sarpong emphasized the importance of maintaining peace in the country, citing the detrimental effects of war on a nation’s economy.
Having served at a peace-keeping camp in Sudan, Sarpong has witnessed firsthand the devastating consequences of war. He recounted an incident where two individuals engaged in a heated argument, which escalated to one individual fatally shooting the other with an AK47.
Sarpong highlighted the lack of accountability during times of conflict, where individuals feel empowered to commit heinous acts without consequences.
Additionally, Sarpong shared stories of affluent individuals who were forced to live in deplorable conditions due to the onset of war.
He emphasized the need for Ghanaians to cherish the peace they currently enjoy and actively work towards preserving it.
