Afia Schwarzenegger, the self-proclaimed queen of Ghanaian comedy, has recently come out to criticize Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar, the flagbearer of the New Force political party, over his recent statement about creating a sea in Kumasi.
In a widely circulated self-recorded video, Afia Schwar dismissed Cheddar’s assertion, labeling it as nonsensical. She pointed out that Ghana is currently dealing with urgent issues such as the lack of hospitals and schools, making the idea of creating a sea in Kumasi completely irrelevant to the country’s needs.
Afia Schwar is known for not holding back her opinions and she made it clear in her video that she finds Cheddar’s statement to be out of touch with the reality of the situation in Ghana. Many Ghanaians have supported her criticism, agreeing that the focus should be on more pressing matters that affect the everyday lives of the people.
It remains to be seen how Cheddar and the New Force political party will respond to Afia Schwar’s strong words, but this feud has certainly ignited a passionate debate among Ghanaians about the priorities of the country’s leaders.
