Ghanaian musician and politician Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus, has made a bold statement about the current political landscape in Ghana.
According to A-Plus, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has now emerged as the most appealing political brand in the country, overshadowing the once dominant New Patriotic Party (NPP).
A-Plus credited this shift in popularity to the leadership of the NPP over the last seven years, suggesting that the days of the party’s political supremacy are now in the past. He urged members of the NPP to critically assess the current leadership, cautioning that their actions could have negative implications for the government’s future and the party’s electoral chances.
Highlighting the positive reception of NDC initiatives, particularly their recent activities at UPSA, A-Plus pointed to this as evidence of the party’s increasing appeal. He contrasted this with what he described as a decline in the NPP’s attractiveness, attributing it to the infiltration of individuals he referred to as “fools” within the party’s ranks.
A-Plus emphasized the importance of internal scrutiny within the NPP and urged members to speak out against actions that could harm the party’s image and electoral prospects. He highlighted the need for constructive criticism and reflection within the party to regain the appeal it once held.
