UK-based Ghanaian star, Fuse ODG, recently shared glowing compliments towards the popular dance duo Afronitaaa and Abigail, following their captivating audition on Britain’s Got Talent.
The duo, consisting of Afronitaaa (real name Danita Yeboah) and her talented protégé, 7-year-old Abigail Adjiri, represented Ghana superbly on the prestigious ITV competition’s 17th season.
Their performance, which featured Fuse ODG’s hit song ‘Antenna,’ received an overwhelmingly positive response from both the audience and the judges, who described it as breathtaking.
Fuse ODG, known for promoting Ghanaian music in the UK with hits like ‘Azonto’ that popularized the Azonto dance, expressed his admiration for their performance during an interview on Hitz FM on May 17, 2024. He commended the duo for showcasing Ghana on such a grand platform.
“That was amazing. They represented Ghana with pride and love. I was very proud to see Ghana showcased like that to the nation. I’ve always represented Ghana in the UK, so as soon as that song dropped, they knew what time it was,” he remarked.
The artist continued to praise Afronitaaa and Princess Abigail (as he affectionately calls her), stating, “Afronitaaa and Princess Abigail really killed it. I was so proud that they killed it as much as we killed the song.”
Encouraging Afronitaaa and Abigail to keep representing Ghana and Africa, Fuse ODG assured them of his and the nation’s support. “Congratulations to Afronitaaa and Abigail. Continue to represent Ghana, and continue to represent Africa. We are behind you. Ghana is definitely on its way to global recognition again,” he concluded.
During their audition, all four judges on Britain’s Got Talent endorsed Afronitaaa and Abigail for their exceptional performance, further solidifying their impact on the show.
