Ghanaian gospel singer, Brother Sammy, has defended his decision to perform at non-Christian events, saying that he aims to introduce sinners to God through his music.
In an interview with JoyNews, Brother Sammy explained that his presence at secular events is necessary to reach a different audience who may not typically attend church. He emphasized that while the church already knows God, it is essential for him to extend the gospel beyond the religious confines.
“These are the places I am supposed to be because my God told me He came because of sinners. Although we are all sinners, these are the kind of places I should be bringing the gospel and not the church,” Brother Sammy stated.
Addressing the criticism he receives from both the audience and fellow gospel artists, Brother Sammy remained unfazed, stating, “even my Lord Jesus was backlashed so I don’t care and I know what I am doing.”
He also defended himself against financial criticism, asserting that he does not rely on others for support and can sustain himself. Despite facing backlash, Brother Sammy remains resolute in his mission to spread the message of God to all people, regardless of their religious background.
