Ghanaian rapper Medikal steps up to support the education sector by donating much-needed supplies to a primary school in Accra.
The Oduman Asuaba M/A Basic School in the GA South District received a generous contribution from the rapper, including chairs, tables, educational materials, dispensary items, and sanitary supplies.
Photos highlighting the poor conditions of the school, shared by famous blogger Kobby Kyei, went viral and caught Medikal’s attention.
The rapper, fresh from his successful Indigo O2 concert in the UK, personally delivered the items and even joined in painting the classroom walls alongside his manager, Kofi Jam, and the school staff.
Reflecting on the distressing images of students sitting on stones to study, Medikal expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and emphasized the importance of providing a conducive learning environment for the future leaders of the country.
He brought 40 chairs and tables to ensure the kids could sit comfortably and focus on their studies.
In addition to the donations, Medikal pledged to support the school’s facilities, promising to fix the toilets. This commitment was met with cheers from the pupils and staff of the school, who were grateful for the much-needed intervention.
