Oprah Winfrey has set the record straight by denying reports that Kamala Harris’ failed presidential campaign paid her $1 million to support the Democrat. In a recent encounter with a TMZ reporter, Winfrey stated, “I was paid nothing — ever.”
The rumors of the hefty payment stemmed from a virtual town hall event called “Unite for America,” which Winfrey hosted on behalf of Harris in September. However, Winfrey confirmed that she did not receive any personal fee for her involvement.
Harpo Productions, Winfrey’s production company, also refuted the claims of a million-dollar payment. They clarified that the campaign only covered the production costs of the event, and Winfrey did not receive any financial compensation.
Despite the speculation surrounding her involvement with Harris’ campaign, Winfrey continued to show her support for the Democratic nominee. She joined Harris at campaign rallies, emphasizing the importance of values and integrity in the election.
