Popular singer Nicki Minaj found herself in hot water recently when she was arrested at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam for alleged possession of drugs.
The Dutch National Police confirmed the incident, stating that Minaj was taken into custody over the discovery of illegal substances in her bag.
In response to the arrest, Minaj took to social media to express her frustration, claiming that the drugs were planted in her bag without her knowledge or consent.
She also alleged that her security officer was the actual owner of the narcotics and that they had advised authorities accordingly.
Fortunately for Minaj, the ordeal was short-lived as she was released shortly after the arrest. The Dutch police announced that, following consultation with the Public Prosecution Service, Minaj was fined and allowed to continue her journey.
Despite the incident, Minaj remains active on social media, sharing updates with her fans about the situation. In one post, she recounted the events of the arrest and reiterated her claim that her security officer was responsible for the drugs found in her possession.
It remains to be seen what repercussions, if any, Minaj will face following the incident.
