My ability to have children with multiple women demonstrate my versatility – Ampaw

Legal practitioner Maurice Ampaw recently opened up about his family life during an interview on The Delay Show.

He shared that he has seven children from different relationships, including two sets of twins with separate women and three other children from various partners.

After his wife passed away in February 2021, Ampaw remarried in 2022 to Celestina. He explained that he felt his twins needed maternal care, as they were being neglected by extended family members.

This realization led him to marry Celestina, whom he had known for over seven years and who had been supportive during his visits to Kumasi.

Ampaw revealed, “When my wife died, I realized my children needed motherly love because the extended family had rejected them.

I told Celestina that my children (twins) needed a mother, so if she took care of them well, they would bless her with twins.

She took care of them, and now she has twins – two girls. So, I have two sets of twins and others.”

He further acknowledged his relationships with multiple women, stating, “Oh yes, I have children with different women. I have children with about three women.

I’m versatile and honest with myself. These three others came before Celestina’s twins but after my twins with my late wife. I was having affairs with women when my wife was alive. We had children, and that’s it.”

Despite the complexities of his relationships, Ampaw emphasized that his actions were driven by responsibility rather than recklessness.

He affirmed that he had good intentions towards each woman with whom he had children.

While his children’s needs may have accelerated his decision to marry Celestina, Ampaw highlighted that their longstanding friendship and admiration for her also played significant roles in their union.

“Celestina was my friend. We had been friends for more than seven years, and she had been taking care of me whenever I went to Kumasi. She lived in Offinso.

My wife never knew about us. My friend cared for me for seven years, we spent time together, ate together, and made love once in a while,” he shared.
