Hip-hop icon Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently facing federal charges of racketeering and sex trafficking, landing him in federal custody as he awaits trial.

The arrest, which took place in New York, follows a string of civil lawsuits accusing Combs of sexual assault and physical violence dating back to the 1990s.

Over two dozen individuals have come forward with allegations against the rapper, claiming he used his industry influence to engage in activities such as drugging, assaulting, and raping individuals.

Among the accusers are two men who were underage at the time of the alleged assaults, both of whom hoped Combs could help kickstart their careers in entertainment.

Despite the mounting allegations, Combs has vehemently denied all accusations, whether from lawsuits or the federal indictment.

The charges against him include racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, and transportation for purposes of prostitution.

Prosecutors have painted a picture of a “criminal enterprise” created by Combs, where he manipulated and coerced individuals to fulfill his desires.

During raids on Combs’ properties in Miami and Los Angeles, authorities uncovered firearms, ammunition, and a significant amount of lubricant.

Prosecutors have been in contact with witnesses and accusers, leaving open the possibility of additional charges. Combs has entered a plea of not guilty to the three felony counts against him, with his legal team asserting that he is prepared to fight the charges.

Currently held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, known for its harsh conditions, Combs has twice been denied bail.

If convicted, he could face a sentence ranging from 15 years to life in prison. Despite the legal turmoil, Combs maintains his innocence, expressing confidence in the legal process and denying any wrongdoing.
