Ghanaian rapper Medikal recently shared some insightful advice for the youth of Ghana when it comes to marriage. He highlighted the fact that love alone is not enough to sustain a marriage and that there are other important factors to consider when selecting a life partner.
In a recent statement, Medikal emphasized that while love is essential, it should not be the only basis for getting married. He explained that marriage is a complex institution that requires more than just affection to thrive.
“Before you get married, I don’t think love is enough. Love is not enough for two people to get into marriage. Marriage is a whole different ball game. If you love somebody, it doesn’t mean you should get married to them,” Medikal advised.
The rapper urged couples to seek counseling and involve their families in the decision-making process before committing to marriage. He cautioned against rushing into marriage solely based on love, pointing out that such hasty decisions could lead to regrets in the future.
Medikal’s advice comes in the midst of his separation from former partner Fella Makafui, despite their efforts to make the relationship work. While their marriage may have come to an end, Medikal assured the public that they remain committed to co-parenting their daughter and ensuring her well-being.
