Renowned Ghanaian actress Martha Ankomah, whom many considered as descent and reserved, has filed a lawsuit against a colleague actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win, for a recent defamatory comments.
Actor Lil Win, recently got upset with the colleague actress on some comments she made on social media when she rejected a movie director’s invitation to cast a movie in Kumasi, Ashanti region.
According to Lil Win, the actress disrespected the whole Kumawood industry in her comments by saying the nothern sector industry has nothing better to offer in monetary terms after refusing the movie role.
Lil Win, also rebutted with some comments on the actress when he said the biological mother of the actress even watches Kumawood. He went on to drag GTP, the clothing company which Martha Ankomah is a brand ambassador, as well.
“You don’t respect, who are you?” Lil Win quizzes in a viral video.
“Don’t you know people from Kumasi patronise your GTP brand? Don’t you know we can boycott your it? Go and ask your mother, she watches Kumawood movies. How much do you worth? Name it we will pay it.”
This comment made against the actress didn’t go down well with her, which triggered her to file a lawsuit against him.
The writ stated: “Writ issued from Accra high court 16/02/2024 suite number GJ/0426/2024, Martha Ankomah, plaintiff to Kwadwo Nkansah defendant.
An action has been commenced against you by the issue of this writ by the above-name plaintiff, you are hereby commanded that within eight days after service of this writ on you inclusive of the day of service you do cause an appearance to be entered for you.
And take notice in default of your so doing, judgment may be given in your absence without further notice to you” the writ added.
Lil Win is yet to respond to the lawsuit.
