Highlife music sensation Kwabena Kwabena has sparked controversy with his recent comments on fatherhood and parenting.

In a recent interview on Hitz FM, the singer suggested that mothers should be blamed if a father abandons his children.

He stated, “If you find any man in any situation where he looks as if he doesn’t have a relationship with his children, or he is not around, mostly 90 percent it is caused by the mothers.”

These comments quickly went viral on social media, with many netizens criticizing Kwabena Kwabena for his views.

However, the “Asor” hitmaker later clarified his statements on Joy Prime’s Changes show.

He explained that Ghana’s societal norms often marginalize fathers, leading to the misconception that they are not actively involved in their children’s lives. He emphasized the importance of both parents being present and available to care for their offspring.

Kwabena Kwabena stressed that his intention was not to blame or criticize mothers but to urge families to ensure that children receive care and support from both parents.

He highlighted the need for a balanced approach to parenting, where both mothers and fathers play an active role in their children’s upbringing.

While acknowledging that some fathers may be irresponsible, the musician reiterated the importance of striking a balance and ensuring that both parents are actively involved in their children’s lives.
