Renowned Ghanaian actress and media personality, Grace Omaboe, popularly known as Maame Dokono, has recently opened up about the significant role she has played in the success stories of various Ghanaian celebrities throughout her illustrious acting career.

In a recent interview on Happy FM, Maame Dokono revealed that her acts of generosity and support have not only impacted individuals in the entertainment industry but have also reached those in the corporate and medical sectors.

Although she did not provide specific details, Maame Dokono mentioned notable personalities such as Asamoah Gyan, the legendary Ghanaian footballer, and Shatta Wale, the acclaimed musician, as some of the beneficiaries of her support.

“I’ve been a helping hand to many in this country. Asamoah Gyan and Shatta Wale are among those I’ve lent my support to. Shatta Wale, in particular, was under my guidance at one point. Some of the beneficiaries also include professionals in banking and medicine, among others. My goal has always been to alleviate suffering,” she shared.

In a previous interview with TV3 in 2018, Maame Dokono elaborated on her influence in nurturing Shatta Wale’s talent, mentioning that she provided him with opportunities on the popular show “By The Fire Side.”

“Shatta Wale’s journey began as a gong-gong beater on By the Fireside… he’s just one of the many individuals I’ve had the privilege to assist,” she explained.
