Ghanaian musician Wendy Shay has made headlines for her recent donation of GH₵10,000 to veteran musician K.K Kabobo.
In a public gesture captured on camera, Wendy Shay explained that her aim was to bring attention to the urgent need for support for K.K Kabobo, who is currently battling liver disease.
During an interview on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz, Wendy Shay clarified that while she often engages in charitable acts in private, she felt the need to shine a spotlight on K.K Kabobo’s situation in order to encourage others to contribute to his treatment.
Despite facing some controversy, Wendy Shay stood firm in her commitment to philanthropy and spoke out in support of K.K Kabobo. She emphasized the importance of rallying together as a community to help those in need.
Wendy Shay’s donation is just one of many contributions to aid K.K Kabobo, as other notable figures such as Former President John Mahama, Vice President Samira Bawumia’s wife, and The Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO) have also shown their support.
