Popular Kumawood actress and makeup artist Naana Brown, alongside her husband Nana Acheampong, known as Santiago, recently opened up about the unconventional start and growth of their relationship on a recent episode of “The Delay Show.”
Naana Brown, originally from Accra, moved to Kumasi in 2009 and crossed paths with Santiago, a well-known disc jockey and broadcaster, on a movie set six months later. Santiago humorously recounted their first encounter, admitting, “The first day we met, we fought. I insulted her in my head.”
According to Santiago, their initial clash occurred when Naana Brown requested his chair for makeup use while he was minding his own business on set. Despite his annoyance at first, Santiago later found himself intrigued by her presence. Their interaction took a positive turn after mutual friends praised Santiago, catching Naana Brown’s attention.
Naana Brown also shared her perspective, explaining that her request for the chair was due to work pressure and that she later found Santiago’s appearance appealing. Their mutual admiration led to an exchange of contacts, and they remained friends for a year before officially starting to date.
The couple, who were both single at the time, tied the knot in 2014 and now have three children, with another on the way. Their love story, filled with unexpected twists and humorous beginnings, was showcased on “The Delay Show” that aired on May 25, 2024.
