Ghanaian music sensation Gyakie has opened up about her cautious approach to romantic relationships within the music and creative industry.
During a recent interview with 3FM, Gyakie shared her thoughts on the challenges that can arise from being romantically involved with someone in the same field.
While she acknowledged the beauty of love, she expressed her preference not to date someone from within the industry.
“I won’t advise that to myself. If I had another version of me, I wouldn’t advise that because it can be very, very tricky but you never know,” Gyakie explained. “Love is a beautiful thing. I wouldn’t say it’s wrong, but at the same time, right now, I wouldn’t advise myself to be with an industry person.”
The singer, best known for hits like “Forever,” also gave a glimpse into her personal life, revealing that her latest song “December” was inspired by a period of personal disappointment. The lyrics of the song reflect her emotional struggles, including dealing with suicidal thoughts.
