Ghanaian actress Rosemond Brown, popularly known as Akuapem Poloo, has shed light on a recent viral video that made rounds on social media in March 2024.

The video captured Akuapem Poloo in what appeared to be a heated altercation with musician Theo Vesachi, culminating in the actress smashing the windscreen of his Mercedes Benz.

Given that the incident took place during Ramadan, many were left puzzled as to the nature of the relationship between Poloo and Vesachi.

Speculations began to arise on social media, with some suggesting that the incident was nothing more than a publicity stunt.

Akuapem Poloo recently confirmed these suspicions during an interview on Accra FM on May 22, 2024.

According to her, the entire scenario was staged as part of a marketing strategy for Vesachi’s upcoming song release. “Everyone knows I’m an actress and I don’t mind creating controversy.

Theo had a song coming up so he approached me and asked that we do something controversial to bring attention to the song,” she explained.

The actress emphasized that it was all acting and nothing more. “I was even afraid, but he assured me that he would buy a new one. So I did, and truly, that same day, he replaced it,” Poloo added.

As for any potential backlash, particularly from the Muslim community due to the timing of the incident, Akuapem Poloo assured that she had clarified the situation to those concerned.

“The Muslim community was worried when the video came up, but I explained myself to them and assured them that it was staged. So it was settled,” she stated.

In conclusion, Akuapem Poloo reiterated that it was all part of a staged act and that there was no genuine altercation between her and Theo Vesachi. “I’m an actress, it was just acting, nothing is going on between us.

I was paid for the act and he also got views for his song,” she clarified.
