Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, the Founder of Action Chapel International, recently shared a heartfelt message with his congregation about the challenges he faced in his early days as a father.

In his sermon on Sunday, March 10, he opened up about the difficulties he experienced in balancing his ministry work with his duties as a father.

The renowned preacher revealed that he was often away from his children, travelling for weeks at a time to fulfill his ministry obligations and provide for his family.

This constant absence created a significant gap between him and his children, which he only realized as he grew older and more mature.

Duncan-Williams admitted that he made mistakes in prioritizing his ministry over his family, and acknowledged the emotional distance that resulted from his absence. Despite providing for his children’s material needs, he confessed that he lacked the emotional connection that is essential for a father-child relationship.

The Archbishop emphasized the importance of a father’s love in filling the void created by his absence, noting that no material possessions or achievements can replace the emotional bond between a father and his children.

He urged parents to prioritize emotional connection and presence in their children’s lives, emphasizing that providing for their physical needs is not enough.

Duncan-Williams shared his personal journey of self-reflection and realization, encouraging others to learn from his experiences and strive to be more present and emotionally connected as parents.
