Nigerian actor Richard Mofe Damijo, popularly known as RMD, has shared his optimistic views on the potential of National Democratic Congress’ flagbearer John Dramani Mahama to lead Ghana as President.
Speaking at the 2024 EMY Awards in Accra, RMD urged Ghanaians to choose a leader who prioritizes their interests above all else. He emphasized the importance of voting for someone who truly has their backs, highlighting Mahama as his personal favorite for the position.
Despite never having met Mahama in person, RMD acknowledged the positive feedback he has received about the former Ghanaian President from acquaintances who praised his contributions, particularly in infrastructure development.
With the upcoming December 7, 2024 election looming, RMD encouraged Ghanaians to consider giving Mahama another chance to lead the country and witness the progress he could bring.
As Ghana prepares for the upcoming presidential elections, the race is competitive with notable candidates vying for the top position.
Alongside Mahama, other contenders include Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party, Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen representing the Movement for Change, and several independent candidates like Nana Kwame Bediako and George Twum-Barima-Adu.
Each candidate brings their unique vision and promises to the table as they seek to secure the trust and support of the Ghanaian electorate.
