David Caleb Gborglah, the Brands and Marketing Manager at Amardia Shopping Center, recently expressed his disappointment and frustration with Chef Smith during an interview with KofiTV.
Gborglah highlighted the sacrifices he had made for the cook-a-thon event and how Chef Smith’s actions had rendered them fruitless.
Gborglah recounted the significant efforts and personal commitments he had put into the event, including risking near-accidents on the Accra-Tema Motorway and leaving his pregnant wife at home to deal with urgent matters related to the cook-a-thon.
“He knows the sacrifices I made for this job to be successful.
I had to rush to the venue on a motorbike on the Accra-Tema Motorway due to an emergency call during the event.
I even left my pregnant wife at home, and he was aware of it. I had no choice but to ensure everything was done well,” Gborglah explained.
While Chef Smith has issued an apology, Gborglah insisted on legal actions being taken. “He has apologized, and we have heard it, but now it is up to the police to do their job.
Amardia Shopping Center has nothing more to add. It is no longer about us; it is about fraud, and fraud is punishable by law,” he stated firmly.
Gborglah also expressed skepticism about the possibility of the company recovering the financial losses incurred due to Chef Smith’s actions.
“Chef Smith will not be able to reimburse the losses we have suffered because of him. Have you seen his face during the apology? Have you looked at him?” Gborglah questioned.
