Popular Ghanaian TikToker Asantewaa recently spoke out about the harmful effects of rumors on celebrities and how quickly false stories can spread.

In a recent discussion, she highlighted a specific incident involving actress Emelia Brobbey, where rumors falsely claimed that she had stolen a watch in the UK.

Asantewaa emphasized the distress caused by such unfounded allegations, noting that these stories often circulate to damage reputations or simply to gain attention.

During an interview on Emelia Brobbey’s show ‘Okukuseku’, Asantewaa shared her perspective on handling unwarranted attention.

She expressed her belief that if people grow weary of false accusations and rumors, they may eventually cease. She also mentioned the persistence of rumors, like the watch theft claim, which resurfaced even after fading away.

Emelia Brobbey acknowledged the ongoing nature of the watch theft rumor, stating, “Just recently, someone else raised the same issue of me stealing a watch, and it hasn’t even been two weeks.”
