Maurice Ampaw, a prominent legal practitioner, recently made headlines after revealing details about his family life. In a candid interview on The Delay Show, Ampaw disclosed that he has seven children from multiple relationships.
This includes two sets of twins with different women and three additional children with three other women.
The passing of his wife in 2021 and his subsequent remarriage in 2022 prompted Ampaw to open up about his relationships outside of his marriage, which resulted in the birth of these children.
He emphasized that his decision to remarry was motivated by the need for his children, especially the twins left behind by his late wife, to have maternal care.
Ampaw credited his current wife, Celestina, for stepping into this role admirably and providing crucial support and care for his children.
He dismissed criticisms of recklessness, asserting that he acted responsibly and with good intentions towards all the women involved.
The legal practitioner clarified that his relationship with Celestina predated his wife’s passing and was built on a longstanding friendship and mutual support over many years.
Their bond and shared experiences in Kumasi led to their decision to marry after his wife’s death.
During the interview, Ampaw spoke openly about his family dynamics and personal choices, emphasizing his commitment to his children and the important role that Celestina now plays in their lives.
He proudly stated, “I have children with different women. I’m versatile and honest with myself. I had good intentions for every woman I had a baby with.”
Despite facing criticism, Ampaw remains steadfast in his belief that he is being responsible in his actions.
He shared his story with honesty and transparency, shedding light on the complexities of family dynamics and personal relationships.
