Ghanaian rapper Strongman has recently opened up about his beliefs regarding prayer. In an interview on Joy Prime’s Prime Morning show, he shared that while he does have a strong relationship with his creator, he does not believe in praying in tongues.
The rapper explained that he prays consistently, especially when he is driving, eating, or preparing to release a new song. He even shared an example of fasting and praying for three days before the release of his song ‘Transformer’.
Despite not being a frequent churchgoer, Strongman emphasized that he prays regularly but does not engage in praying in tongues as he does not fully believe in it. He mentioned that it would feel strange for him to pray in a language that he does not understand.
While expressing his personal beliefs, Strongman clarified that he is not discouraging others from following their own practices. He simply shared his perspective of communicating with his maker in a straightforward manner, stating what he needs and asking for guidance.
Born Osei Kwaku Vincent, Strongman is renowned as one of the top rappers in Ghana. His candid remarks about prayer have sparked discussions and shed light on different beliefs and practices within the community.
