Ghanaian rapper Medikal has made it clear that he stands by his decision to block Nigerian Afrobeats star Davido on Instagram.
This decision came after a dispute between several Ghanaian rappers and Nigerian rapper Dremo, who is signed to Davido. The conflict began when Dremo dissed Sarkodie in a song, which prompted responses from many Ghanaian artists.
In response to Davido unfollowing several Ghanaian artists, including Medikal, on Instagram, the rapper chose to block Davido. During a live interview on Starr FM, Medikal expressed that he has no regrets about his decision.
While he is open to reconciliation, he values mutual respect and loyalty in his relationships. Although the rapper hinted at underlying reasons for the fallout, he chose to keep them private.
Despite the tension, Medikal expressed his willingness to share the stage with Davido in the future, emphasizing that he harbors no hard feelings. He compared the situation to his recent reconciliation with fellow Ghanaian artist D-Black, highlighting his approach to resolving conflicts through dialogue.
“I would have no problem performing on stage with Davido. I don’t keep things within me. If something bothers me, I would react, but when we meet and talk, we settle it,” Medikal said.
The rapper seems open to resolving conflicts and moving forward positively in his relationships within the music industry.
