Renowned musician and University of Ghana student, Guru NKZ, has set his sights on a new challenge by announcing his candidacy for the presidency in the upcoming 2024/2025 Student Representative Council (SRC) elections at the university.
During a recent interview with TV3 in Accra, Guru highlighted his commitment to addressing key issues affecting the university community. He emphasized the need for practical solutions to the various challenges faced by students within the institution.
As a third-year student studying Political Science and Information Studies at the University of Ghana, Guru expressed his vision for initiatives such as the establishment of Legon Television, the improvement of campus transportation services through the addition of more buses, and the introduction of recreational activities to help reduce student stress.
In addition to his plans for enhancing student life on campus, Guru aims to restore the University of Ghana’s prestige, attracting prospective students and reclaiming the institution’s former glory.
If successful in his bid, Guru will follow in the footsteps of musicians like Samini, who previously served as the SRC President at GIMPA in 2022, showcasing a blend of musical talent and student leadership.
Guru’s aspirations for the SRC presidency have generated anticipation and excitement among students, faculty, and supporters.
