In a heartbreaking turn of events, three-year-old Tawiah Ampomah tragically lost his life in a car accident involving popular Ghanaian actor and comedian, Kwadwo Nkansah, better known as LilWin.

The incident has captured the attention of the public, and now, Victoria Nketiah, a relative of the deceased child, has come forward to share details about what transpired.

According to Victoria, her in-law and his son, Tawiah Ampomah, were seated in the front of the vehicle at the time of the accident. Unfortunately, the child sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. Currently, the driver, who is Victoria’s in-law, is in critical condition and receiving treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi.

“Tawiah Ampomah passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at the hospital, and his father remains in critical condition at KATH,” Victoria revealed during an interview with Angel FM. She also mentioned that the family, accompanied by the police, had visited the morgue to view the boy’s body. The police investigation is still ongoing, and the matter has yet to be resolved.

In a gesture of support, LilWin’s management team has reached out to the family. However, Victoria expressed concerns about the focus of the media and the investigation, stating, “The police haven’t updated us on their accident investigation. Our concern is that the child was overlooked when the incident happened, as everyone focused on LilWin.”

The accident took place on May 25, 2024, in front of Grace Baptist Church at Amakom in Kumasi. LilWin and two others were injured when their vehicle collided head-on with another car. Eyewitnesses reported that LilWin, who sustained minor injuries, was undergoing medical treatment at KATH’s Accident and Emergency Unit.
