Renowned Ghanaian gospel singer Empress Gifty, also known as Gifty Adorye, recently showed unwavering support for her husband, Hopeson Adorye, after his release from police custody.
She encouraged him not to be weighed down mentally by the arrest, rather seeing it as a possible blessing in disguise.
In a heartwarming gesture, Empress Gifty likened her husband’s experience to that of the biblical figure Joseph, emphasizing the transformative power of challenges orchestrated by God. Speaking in Twi on an Instagram live session, she expressed her belief in the potential for personal growth even in the midst of adversity.
“God can use a moment of embarrassment to glorify Himself in your life. Challenges, no matter how daunting, can ultimately lead to blessings and divine elevation,” Empress Gifty shared.
Echoing her sentiments, Hopeson Adorye remained optimistic about the future, stating, “What transpired has raised me to glory.”
The singer’s husband had been granted bail by a Circuit Court after being accused of disseminating false news regarding explosive devices during the 2016 elections. However, Adorye clarified that the incident took place in Togo, contrary to initial reports linking it to the Volta Region.
