Gospel singer Empress Gifty Adorye is taking legal action against a prophetess and TikTok influencer known as Pretty Lady who made alarming prophecies about her family earlier this year. Pretty Lady had claimed in a TikTok video that Empress Gifty’s husband, Hopeson Adorye, would face death if he participated in any political campaign for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
Empress Gifty expressed her displeasure with the prophecies during an interview on TV3’s New Day, stating that she is in the process of pursuing legal action against the prophetess. She emphasized that she doesn’t mind criticism of herself or her brand, but she becomes upset when her family is targeted.
While Empress Gifty believes in prophecies, she made it clear that she prefers it when such matters are brought to her directly so she can pray about them. She criticized the prophetess for choosing to spread negativity on the internet instead of approaching her personally.
In response to Pretty Lady’s video, Empress Gifty and her husband appeared in a TikTok live video to address the situation. The couple strongly rebuked the prophetess for her prophecies, which they described as harmful and baseless.
