Popular media personality Deloris Frimpong Manso, better known as Delay, has clapped back at critics who have questioned her decision to interview Snapchat influencer Dulcie Boateng on her show.

After the interview with Dulcie garnered attention and criticism from netizens, including socialite Showboy, Delay found herself on the receiving end of backlash. Showboy, in a video shared on Instagram, expressed his disappointment in Delay for interviewing what he referred to as ‘low profile personalities’ on The Delay Show.

Showboy even went as far as to compare Delay to Ghana’s Oprah Winfrey, suggesting that she should only be interviewing individuals at the top of their game. He questioned why Delay was giving a platform to individuals he considered to be ‘nobodies.’

“If you’re interviewing these Snapchat girls, are you also inviting gangsters on your show? You are losing your credibility; you have embarrassed yourself. You are interviewing these people because they have some clout or followers. Is that what you are chasing now? Is that what you are using your precious time for?” Showboy stated in the video.

In response to the criticism, Delay took to her Snapchat to address the issue indirectly, asking people not to offer unsolicited advice on how to run her business unless they are investors or shareholders.

“Don’t come into my DM trying to tell me how to run my business. You’re not an investor and shareholder. If you have an opinion, it should come with a cheque,” she posted on her Snapchat story.
