The Ghana Police Service has come out to dispel rumors of the arrest of popular social media personality, Albert Nat Hyde, widely known as Bongo Ideas.
In a statement released by the Police, they confirmed that Mr. Hyde is safe and sound, currently at home.
The clarification from the Police follows a wave of online speculations suggesting the arrest of Bongo Ideas, which caused anxiety among his followers and fans.
Fortunately, the Police acted swiftly by contacting a family member of Mr. Hyde to confirm his whereabouts, putting an end to the unfounded rumors.
Additionally, the Ghana Police Service emphasized the need for verifying information before spreading it, especially on social media platforms where misinformation can quickly spread. They advised the public to rely on official sources for accurate updates on such matters.
Bongo Ideas, known for his controversial content and social commentary, has remained silent on the incident and the circulating rumors.
