A tragic car accident along the Accra-Apam highway on Saturday, May 25, 2024, has claimed the life of blogger and publicist John Claude Tamakloe. The accident also left renowned Highlife musicians KK Fosu and Bless with serious injuries.
The incident occurred when the Toyota Camry carrying Tamakloe and Bless, who was accompanied by Tamakloe as his videographer, collided head-on with a Benz that was attempting to overtake another vehicle.
The driver of the Camry, Nana Obiri Yeboah, explained that they had moved to the shoulder of the road to avoid the reckless driver, but unfortunately, the Benz crashed into their car.
Yeboah recounted the chaotic moments after the accident, revealing that the passengers were rushed to Apam Hospital, where Tamakloe tragically passed away.
Both KK Fosu and Bless suffered broken legs, with Bless’s injury being more severe. Sadly, an aide to Bless also lost their life in the tragic accident.
The group was on their way to perform at a wedding when the tragedy struck, casting a somber cloud over the Highlife music community.
The accident has deeply impacted the music industry, as the loss of Tamakloe and the injuries sustained by KK Fosu and Bless have left many in shock and mourning.
