Ghanaian actress Nikki Samonas has recently revealed details about her challenging childhood and journey to fame during an appearance on ‘The Ladies Circle’.
Nikki spoke about the hardships she faced after her father’s passing when she was just ten years old, dispelling the notion of a privileged upbringing. She shared that her life was marked by adversity, frequent relocations, and various challenges.
Reflecting on her early struggles, Nikki admitted that fame and success seemed out of reach at that time. However, these experiences have been invaluable to her and have inspired her to consider writing a memoir.
“I never ever thought, felt, fathomed, dreamed that I would end up in the limelight,” she stated. Despite her childhood challenges, Nikki had always aspired to be a UN Ambassador for refugees. This dream came true in 2020 when she was appointed as the National Goodwill Ambassador for the UNHCR.
“For me, I wanted to work with the UN. That’s the one thing I wanted to do that I have actually seen come to life as the Global UN Ambassador for Refugees,” Nikki shared. She expressed her joy in being able to fulfill this childhood dream and work with the United Nations.
