Chariot CEO Adonis Pouroulis will be a speaker at the upcoming Invest in African Energy (IAE) 2024 forum in Paris on May 14-15.
During the forum, Pouroulis is expected to discuss Chariot’s involvement in driving transitional gas, power, and green hydrogen projects across Africa, along with the potential opportunities for global investors in these strategic areas.
Chariot, in partnership with Total Eren, is developing Mauritania’s 10 GW Project Nour, which aims to be one of the largest green hydrogen and green ammonia projects in the world by 2030. Additionally, the company’s Anchois gas project in Morocco, with total recoverable resources exceeding one trillion cubic feet, represents a high-value gas appraisal and development project with significant implications for Morocco’s energy self-sufficiency and exporter ambitions.
The IAE 2024 forum is organized by Energy Capital&Power and is designed to facilitate collaboration between European investors and African energy markets. The event will offer two days of intensive engagement with industry experts, project developers, investors, and policymakers.
Chariot is actively contributing to Africa’s decarbonized future by advancing various solar projects. This includes a 15 MW solar PV project in Burkina Faso, a 40 MW solar project in South Africa, and a 430 MW solar and wind project in Zambia. These projects will be further discussed at IAE 2024, connecting European and global investors with Africa’s leading energy projects.
Sandra Jeque, the Event and Project Director at Energy Capital&Power, acknowledges Chariot’s efforts to drive Africa’s green hydrogen industry and position natural gas as a transition fuel. She emphasizes that these efforts align closely with Africa’s commitment to low-emission and low-cost energy for its populations.
The upcoming IAE 2024 forum will provide a platform for Chariot to showcase its developments and engage with potential investors, promoting sustainable and renewable energy solutions across Africa.
