Gospel artist MOG encourages fellow musicians to prioritize relationships over money
Renowned Ghanaian gospel musician Nana Yaw Boakye, also known as MOG, recently shared some valuable advice to his fellow gospel artists.
During an interview on Channel One TV’s Upside Down Show, MOG emphasized the importance of building meaningful relationships in the music industry.
While many artists may focus on financial gains, MOG believes that the true value lies in cultivating strong connections with others.
He stated, “Money is good, but I believe what gives good money is the relationship. If you can manage the relationship well, you can harness a lot more than how much you can even charge.”
MOG went on to explain how relationships can lead to unexpected blessings and opportunities.
By fostering strong connections with people, artists can collaborate more freely and give without any reservations. He believes that the highest form of currency is a relationship.
The award-winning artist acknowledged that some artists may request payment upfront due to past experiences with certain events or individuals.
However, MOG prefers to focus on building strong relationships with individuals who invite him to perform, as it often leads to blessings beyond his expectations.
Instead of taking a firm stance on payment, MOG chooses to assess each situation based on the relationship he has with the individual.
