South African actress and singer, Rosemary Zimu, recently shared the motivation behind her decision to pursue a career in acting.
According to her, if her sole purpose for acting was to improve her financial situation, she would be struggling.
Zimu, best known for her role as ‘Zinhle’ in Netflix’s South African hit series ‘Savage Beauty’, revealed this during a conversation with Noella Kharyne Yalley on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz.
She expressed, “I have never felt like acting is not fulfilling to me at all. Whether financially or for me as a person, I didn’t choose acting, acting chose me and that was clearly for a reason.
So, I know that God will never put me in a place where I will suffer forever. After a little suffering, I know that something great is coming. If I were doing it for the finances, I think I’d be struggling, but I’m not doing it for that so that’s why they come as an extra.”
Rosemary Zimu, born on April 15, 1993, is a talented South African actress, singer, and songwriter.
She has appeared in various films and series including ‘Isidingo’, ‘Shadow’, ‘Champagne’, and ‘Scandal!’. In May 2022, Zimu made her debut on Netflix’s series ‘Savage Beauty’, showcasing her acting prowess alongside co-stars Nthati Moshesh and Jesse Suntele.
