Ibrahim Mahama, the Chief Executive of Engineers & Planners and Dzata Cement, has stepped in to cover the $25,000 cost of a life-saving kidney transplant for 13-year-old Rosemary Boadu.
Rosemary, who is battling end-stage kidney disease, caught the attention of Mr. Mahama through a feature on JoyNews called ‘Dialysis at 13,’ produced by Emmanuel Dzivenu and aired on the Super Morning Show.
Upon seeing Rosemary’s dire situation, Mr. Mahama acted swiftly to provide financial assistance for her much-needed transplant.
His Special Aide, Rafiq Mahama, confirmed that the full payment was completed by 9 a.m. the following day, easing the financial burden on Rosemary’s family.
