Ghanaian actress Regina Daniels has finally spoken out about the backlash she received after revealing that she had multiple boyfriends before marrying Ned Nwoko.
In a recent Instagram post, the actress clarified that her past relationships were purely platonic and not physical in nature.
She went on to explain that despite having numerous male friends who were willing to support her, she remained committed to maintaining her virginity until marriage.
Daniels emphasized that her intention was to educate young girls about setting boundaries in relationships and not feeling obligated to engage in physical intimacy with anyone.
She stressed the importance of understanding that having male friends who are willing to provide for you does not mean that you owe them anything in return.
Addressing her critics, Daniels wrote, “Hey everyone I want to clarify the 20 boyfriends solely to soothe my husband and also educate young girls that having several male/boyfriends willing to do things for you doesn’t mean you owe them your body.
And oh yes. I did have a lot but I made a promise to keep my virginity till my marriage. And guess what? I did!!!. It’s a big flex.”
She continued, “But hold on! What did you guys expect na? It was your little beautiful sweetheart, Regina Daniels of course men and ladies would admire. So everyone chill pls.”
The actress’s statement comes after the initial controversy sparked by her revelation about her past relationships. Despite the backlash, Daniels remains steadfast in her commitment to empowering young women to prioritize their values and boundaries in relationships.
