Ghanaian actor and film producer, Abeiku Sagoe, recently provided an update on the court issue surrounding the Ghana Actors Guild.

The guild has been embroiled in a legal battle since 2018, with allegations of irregularities in the election process.

In an interview with Kwame Dadzie on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, Abeiku Sagoe, who is a founding member of the guild and one of the complainants, expressed optimism that the issue would be resolved soon.

“We went to court basically to stop what we thought was an irregular action. I can assure you that by the end of the year, we should be done with it,” Abeiku Sagoe said.

He further added, “I am sure that by the end of this year, it will end. I pray that whatever the result will be, we move into another level to bring all the actors together.”

The dispute arose after the election in 2018, where Samuel Fiscian was elected President, Van Vicker was Vice-President, Ziggy Netteyson was Secretary, and Kalsoume Sinare as the Welfare Officer.

However, the outcome of the election was contested in court by Abeiku Sagoe and other actors, citing a lack of transparency and due process.
