Grammy-winning artist Wizkid has made history on Spotify with his latest single, “Piece of My Heart,” featuring Brent Faiyaz, achieving the highest number of streams in a single day on the platform.
The Nigerian superstar’s new track became the first song to reach 1 million streams in just one day, solidifying Nigeria’s position as the 22nd country to achieve over 1 million streams in a day.
On a global scale, “Piece of My Heart” debuted at number 90 on the Spotify Chart, amassing 1.7 million streams and garnering a total of 2.27 million streams on its release day.
This accomplishment marks a new milestone for Wizkid as the song secured the biggest streaming debut for an African artist on Spotify, surpassing his previous record with “MMS” featuring Asake, which had 870,577 streams on its first day.
With his latest achievement, Wizkid continues to make waves in the music industry and solidify his status as one of Africa’s most prominent musical talents.
