Country music sensation Garth Brooks is currently facing serious allegations of sexual assault and battery in a recent lawsuit filed in California state court.

The accuser, who has opted to remain anonymous under the pseudonym “Jane Roe”, worked as a hairstylist and makeup artist for the Grammy-winning artist.

According to the lawsuit, she was allegedly raped by Brooks and subjected to repeated instances of groping and inappropriate sexual comments during her employment from 2017 to 2020.

In a response to the allegations, Brooks emphatically denied the claims, describing the lawsuit as an act of “extortion and defamation”. The accuser stated that in May 2019, Brooks invited her to travel with him on his private jet to a Grammy tribute event in Los Angeles.

Upon arrival, it is claimed that Brooks had booked a single suite with only one bedroom for them to share. The accuser alleges that Brooks then proceeded to expose himself and rape her in the hotel suite.

The lawsuit also accuses Brooks of making continued sexual advances, including inappropriate touching and sharing explicit fantasies.

Shockingly, the legal action further asserts that Brooks proposed a threesome involving his wife, fellow country star Trisha Yearwood. The BBC has reached out to Yearwood for comment on the matter.

In a statement to the BBC, Brooks expressed his frustration with the situation, denouncing the allegations as attempts to extort money from him. He asserted that he is innocent of the accusations made against him and is determined to continue his musical pursuits and charitable endeavors.

Litigation surrounding the case began with a pre-emptive legal action filed by Brooks in Mississippi federal court, where he denied the accuser’s claims and labeled them as “revulsive and untrue”.

The accuser’s lawyers have since filed a comprehensive 27-page legal action in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing instances of sexual assault, battery, and inappropriate behavior by Brooks.
