DEE SNIDER, the lead singer of the iconic heavy metal band Twisted Sister, is not just known for his rockstar lifestyle, but also for his longstanding relationship with his wife, Suzette.
The couple first met in 1976 at a Twisted Sister show, long before the band achieved mainstream success in the 1980s. In a touching Instagram post from 2018, Suzette reminisced about the night they first met at a bar, expressing her gratitude for the man who would later become her life partner.
A multi-talented individual, Suzette was not just the wife of a rockstar, but also the mastermind behind Twisted Sister’s bold and colorful costumes. She started off by designing the band’s feminine outfits, but quickly transitioned to tattered and colorful rags, creating the band’s iconic look.
Not just limited to fashion design, Suzette also created Twisted Sister’s logo. She holds a degree in fashion design from the Fashion Institute of Technology, showcasing her creative prowess.
Dee and Suzette tied the knot in 1981 after years of dating and eventually settled in Long Island, New York. In 2021, Dee took to Instagram to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary, emphasizing the strength of their enduring relationship.
Aside from their successful marriage, the couple also raised four children together – Jesse, Shane, Cody, and Cheyenne. Their children have pursued diverse career paths, ranging from graphic novel creation to stand-up comedy and fashion design.
The Snider family’s journey was even captured in a reality show called Growing Up Twisted, giving fans a glimpse into their lives on Long Island. Today, Dee and Suzette are not just proud parents, but also grandparents to five children, cherishing the legacy they have built together.
