Bret Hart is undoubtedly one of Canada’s most iconic and successful professional wrestlers of all time.

Born into the legendary Hart wrestling family on July 2, 1957, in Calgary, Bret Hart became known as “The Hitman” in the wrestling world.

Starting his wrestling career in WWE (then known as WWF) in 1984, Bret went on to have memorable matches against wrestling legends such as the Undertaker, Ric Flair, and Shawn Michaels during his time in the WWE. Bret Hart’s legacy in WWE includes winning the tag team, Intercontinental, and World Heavyweight championships. However, his time with the company was marred by the infamous Montreal Screwjob in 1997, which led to his departure from WWE and a stint in WCW until 2000.

Despite the ups and downs of his wrestling career, Bret Hart was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005, solidifying his place as one of the all-time greats in the industry. His niece Natalya Neidhart also followed in his footsteps and currently wrestles in WWE, carrying on the Hart family legacy.

With a net worth of around $14 million, Bret Hart has had a successful and lucrative career in professional wrestling. His marriages and personal life have also been a topic of interest, with three marriages and four children to his name.

Recently, there was a controversy surrounding the removal of Bret Hart’s documentaries from the WWE Network. As the owner of his matches and footage from Stampede Wrestling, the Hart family’s wrestling promotion, Bret gave WWE permission to use certain footage for documentaries. However, WWE used additional footage without his consent, leading to the removal of all documentaries featuring Bret Hart from the network.

These documentaries include “Bret Hart: The Best There Is, The Best There Was, The Best There Ever Will Be” (2005), “Hart & Soul: The Hart Family Anthology” (2010), and others that shed light on Bret Hart’s legendary career and contributions to the wrestling world.
