Rich McCormick, a US Congressman representing Georgia’s 6th Congressional District, has recently filed for divorce from his wife of 12 years, Debra Miller.
Debra is an oncologist who works at Southeastern Medical Oncology and studied at Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest.
The couple, who have seven children together, reside in Suwanee, Georgia. Rich, a decorated veteran and Emergency Room physician, served in the Marine Corps as a helicopter pilot and deployed to combat zones in Africa, the Persian Gulf, and Afghanistan.
He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from National University and a medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine.
The divorce filing took place on May 3, 2024, as reported by the New York Post. A mutual restraining order was also filed, as is standard in all divorce cases in Gwinnett County, Georgia.
Rich is a member of various congressional committees, including House Armed Services, Foreign Affairs, and Science, Space, and Technology, as well as the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic.
He is also a member of Cross Pointe Church.
