Steven Williams, a Florida man, was found guilty of murdering his ex-wife, Tricia Todd, back in September 2016. The case of the Florida murder will be explored in an upcoming 20/20 episode airing on ABC on Friday, May 3, 2024.
Steven Williams, who hails from West Palm Beach, Florida, met Tricia Todd at Hobe Sound Christian Academy. The two eventually got married in a private North Carolina ceremony and welcomed a daughter named Faith. However, their marriage ended in divorce in 2016 after 10 years. Tricia went missing in April 2016, and Steven confessed to killing her in May that same year.
After confessing, Steven led authorities to a wildlife area where they discovered Tricia’s partial remains in a container filled with acid. He was subsequently sentenced to 35 years in prison for second-degree murder and child neglect. The state prosecution also requested over $67,000 to cover the cost of the investigation.
The 20/20 episode titled The Hungryland Homicide will delve into the case of Tricia Todd’s murder on Friday, May 3, 2024, at 9 pm ET/8 pm CT on ABC.
It will also be available for streaming on Hulu the following day, providing viewers with an inside look at how investigators were able to secure a confession from Tricia’s murderer and locate her missing body.
