Jordan Gill is set to make his return to the boxing ring in Manchester this weekend, as he looks to continue his career resurgence following a stunning seventh-round knockout victory over Michael Conlan last year. The 29-year-old will be facing off against Zelfa Barrett in what promises to be an exciting domestic dust-up.
Barrett, who has previously challenged for a boxing world title, is aiming to get back in contention for titles with a victory over Gill. Despite a loss to Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov in 2022, Barrett is determined to work his way back into the title picture.
Gill, on the other hand, is training under the guidance of Anthony Joshua’s coach, Ben Davison, and is fully focused on securing another victory in the ring. With both fighters hungry for a win, the stage is set for an intense battle between Gill and Barrett.
The fight is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 13, at the AO Arena in Manchester. Ring-walks for the main event are expected to begin at around 10.30pm BST, with the main card starting at 7pm.
For fans who can’t make it to the arena, the fight will be broadcast live on DAZN in the UK, as part of a subscription package. Viewers can also stream the fight on their mobile or tablet devices using the DAZN app, or watch it on DAZN 1 HD on Sky channel 429.
In addition to the main event between Gill and Barrett, the fight card also includes exciting matchups such as Ellie Scotney vs. Segolene Lefebvre for the IBF and WBO women’s super bantamweight title, as well as other compelling bouts featuring up-and-coming talent in the boxing world.
