The Ekumfi Traditional Council has issued a statement regarding the controversy surrounding the autopsy report of the late President John Evans Atta-Mills. According to the council, they do not want to be associated with the ongoing media banter and division within the late president’s family.

The chiefs expressed their preference for the issue to be discussed privately rather than in the media. They emphasized that they do not want to be dragged into the issue and that any disagreements with the report should be settled within the immediate family.

The council also clarified that they have not authorized anyone to request the release of the autopsy report from President Akufo-Addo. They stated that any attempt to link the chiefs of Ekumfi to such actions is malicious and untrue.
