Ghanaian boxing legend, Braimah Kamoko, also known as Bukom Banku, recently shared an intriguing aspect of his family life during an interview on 3FM.

The charismatic boxer revealed that out of his 13 children, only 10 bear his physical resemblance.

Known for his colorful personality, Bukom Banku opened up about his role as a father and the challenges of raising a large family. He expressed that while he is the father of 13 children, only 10 of them share his features, with his son Abu Kamoko, who is also a boxer, bearing the closest resemblance to him.

“I have 13 children, with 10 of them resembling me, while the remaining three take after their mothers. Among them, Abu Kamoko resembles me the most,” Bukom Banku shared during the interview.

Abu Kamoko recently made headlines by winning a silver medal in the 86kg cruiserweight category at the All-African Games, where he lost to Algerian boxer Kanouni Ousama in the final match. This achievement surpassed his father’s 25-year-old bronze medal win in the sport.

Following his son’s defeat in the final, Bukom Banku attributed Abu Kamoko’s performance to stage fright caused by the large crowd, which affected his performance in the ring.

“This is his first time in the game. He feared the crowd and was frightened, so he lost, but his opponent was a small match for him. I trained Abu Kamoko up until age 7,” Bukom Banku explained.
